Incessant rainfall destroys makeshift dam in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur (Bihar) [India], June 30 (ANI): Some villages close to Bagmati river are going through flood-like state of affairs after the water degree rose because of incessant rainfall ensuing into the destruction of a makeshift dam within the Katra block of Muzaffarpur on Monday.

The makeshift dam was constructed as a security measure, close to Patauri village and now it’s being repaired on the orders of District Justice of the Peace.
In a gathering held on 19th June, the District Justice of the Peace had ordered that the dam needs to be repaired.
“We had began the work however when the water degree elevated final evening, it broke the construction,” Indrajit Singh, Assistant Engineer, Bagmati division, stated. (ANI)
